Mr. President,
We welcome your visit to London!
- You will have received a warm reception, a tribute both to the historical relationship with the U.K. but also to the conduct of the recent Presidential elections.
- Many of us will be keen to build upon on this relationship and to work to secure a productive basis for the economic development of Somaliland: one that specifically reaches the poorest parts of the community and brings basic health and education, clean water and decent housing.
- We, both well-wishers in the UK and associates from the Somaliland Diaspora here, would welcome discussions with you and your Ministers about mechanisms to ensure that appropriate legal structures and financial mechanisms can be established to bring the investment that Somaliland, so urgently, needs. All this in conjunction with your Government's policies to shape a more secure and prosperous future for Somaliland.
